Position Title: Chief Sales Officer
Reports to: President, Sales and Marketing
The Chief Sales Officer will be responsible for setting the global sales strategy, leading the global sales efforts and setting revenue target activities of company. The successful candidate will manage and grow the HQ global sales team and infrastructure to enable the company to rapidly scale while providing guidance and direction to the executive team and international markets.
Position Accountabilities The following are essential accountabilities:
• Responsible for developing and implementing an overall sales strategy, supported by growth and revenue metrics within the United States, existing countries and new international markets. Lead business development efforts and continued growth in these markets to achieve our long-term business objectives.
• Set, manage and track sales metrics and in partnership with local market General Managers, oversee field support of the company brand in existing and each new market. Provide strategic direction for all global sales activities, market development and execution of the company brand and the growth projections and strategic initiatives.
• Develop a sales network through the acquisition of new and strengthened relationships and direct the business development and distribution strategy. Establish standards and procedures. Manage all phases of the business development cycle to successfully train consultants and ensure opportunity development and proposal development.
• Manage all internal and external resources supporting global business development; review and report on opportunities and outline financial impact and cost, pricing, risk, and benefits. Develop and continuously assess a strategy and sales plan to establish new consultant relationships and drive global revenue growth.
• Oversee the indirect recruitment and organizational development of a global consultant force and support team to drive profitable growth and meet revenue goals. Partner with consultants in identifying category/trend opportunities for increased overall category and market share growth and yield retention.
• Interface professionally with all levels of an organizational, both internally and with consultants and customers. Demonstrate excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
• Monitor and evaluate the results of Leaders in each market and provide the leadership for improvement programs.
• Prepare and conduct sales meetings which effectively deliver information, recognize achievements and provide direction and education in a motivational environment.
• Works with Company Department leaders to develop effective incentives, contests and promotional programs in accordance with the budgets and plans.
